Printing shipping labels on a label printer
The shipping label doesn't fit on the label
Check that the correct label size is selected in the printer settings. Many label printers use the format 4 × 6 inches (100 × 150 mm) for shipping labels.
Parts of the label are cut off
If the address, barcode, or other information is missing, you usually need to adjust the scaling or check that the correct label size is selected.
Too much information is printed on the label
If, for example, buyer details, item numbers, or references are being printed, the scaling may be too low. Try increasing the scaling until the label looks correct.
What scaling should I use?
There is no setting that works for all printers. As a starting point, you can try a scaling of around 60–65% and adjust as needed.
- If parts of the label are cut off – decrease the scaling.
- If too much information is included – increase the scaling.
Do all label printers work the same way?
No. Exact settings can vary depending on the printer model, label size, and drivers.
Most problems with printing shipping labels are due to the wrong label size or incorrect scaling.
