With Tradera’s buyer protection, you are guaranteed to get your money back if the item is not delivered or differs significantly from the description. You can shop second hand with the same security as when buying new.
What does the buyer protection cost?
Buyer Protection costs SEK 2 + 5% of the order value, maximum SEK 499. It applies regardless of whether you have chosen invoice or installment payment.
How do I use my buyer protection?
You use Buyer Protection by clicking on "Report a problem with purchase" under "More actions" in the "Your purchases" list.
The right of withdrawal only applies if you buy from a company. The majority of all transactions on Tradera take place between private individuals.
Buyer Protection is mandatory for all orders that cost SEK 200 or more when the seller is a private individual. It can only be opted out of in the case of local pickup, or in certain categories.
The buyer protection helps you if the transaction goes wrong. When a refund is issued, the cost of buyer protection remains, since you have used the service.
When you have purchased from a private individual, you need to contact the seller to resolve the situation. If the seller does not respond or you cannot reach a solution, you have the option to click on "Report a problem with purchase" under "More actions" in Your purchases. You can also leave negative feedback or file a police report if a crime has occurred.
When you report a problem with a purchase, our security department will review the seller’s account. However, we will not be able to assist you with a refund from the seller if you do not have buyer protection.
You have 30 days to create a case via our buyer protection from the time you have completed the payment. This does not apply if you have paid with PayPal or Klarna, instead PayPal has 180 days and Klarna has 120 days.
