Why do we have this rule?
The sale of used underwear is generally prohibited for hygienic reasons.
Prohibited to sell
- Used panties and briefs
- Used sports underwear (e.g., jocks)"
Sale permitted, with restrictions
- Used underwear - if it's for young children
- Used cloth diapers - as long as it is clearly stated that they have been thoroughly washed
- Used swimwear - as long as they are washed
- Used bras - as long as they are washed
