Q: What is Traderabetalning?

A: Traderabetalning is the name we use for a collection of payment methods that we have integrated into the site, including invoice or installment payments for the buyer.

Q: Does it cost anything to use Traderabetalning or do you have any plans to charge for it?

A: It is free to use and we have no plans to charge for using Traderabetalning.

Q: Why does it take 1-2 days for me to receive my money with Traderabetalning?

A: Payments go through an external payment provider to comply with EU's PSD2 requirements, the processing time is simply the time it takes to send money from one bank to another. We do this to ensure that we have a secure marketplace that complies with the laws and regulations that apply within the EU.

Q: What does this change mean for me?

A: The goal of the change is to give buyers a wider range of payment methods, without making it complicated for sellers. By offering credit card payment and PayPal, we can also reach foreign buyers.

Q: What do I need to do as a seller to get started with the service?

A: You will need to specify the account number you want to receive the money into, after which your buyers will have the option to choose freely from the payment methods available with Traderabetalning. You will receive your payouts 1-2 business days after the buyer has paid, but you can immediately see when a buyer has paid for the item.

So your buyers will have a wider range of payment options without you as a seller having to set up multiple accounts, we'll take care of that for you. Your buyers will also have the option to use Credit Solution or pay by invoice without it affecting when you receive your payouts.

We also handle automatic winner emails, payment reminders and you will be able to track your entire business.

Q: I have always used Swish, will I still be able to use Swish?

A: Yes, Swish is one of the payment methods included in Traderabetalning.

Q: Do I need to have Swish to be able to receive payments via Swish?

A: No, since 29/5 2023 payments with Swish go through Tradera.

Q: The buyer has paid with PayPal, do I need to create a PayPal account to receive the money?

A: You do not need a PayPal account to receive these payments, the money will go into the account you have specified for payouts. Note PayPal can only be used as a payment method for buyers outside Sweden after 9/11 2023

Q: Does this mean that I as a seller am expected to send all my orders with trackable shipping?

A: No, as we have a wide range of what is sold on the site, we will not require trackable shipping. However, if it is a more expensive item, we recommend that you book trackable shipping to have insurance against accidents or if the shipment is lost.
