The sale of food is permitted on Tradera under certain conditions. For example, the product's packaging must be unbroken, and the ingredients list and best-before date must be clearly visible.
Why do we have this rule?
With this policy, we want to help our members comply with the laws and regulations governing the sale of food. We also want to protect our members from purchasing unsafe products through the above conditions. All members must comply with the rules and regulations governing the sale and transportation of food. There are also specific restrictions on the import and export of certain types of food that must always be followed.
Not permitted for sale
- An opened and resealed package of herbal tea
- Candy that you have bought in bulk
- Grilled meat
- Spices from your trip abroad where you are unsure of the contents
- Self-picked fruits, mushrooms, and vegetables
Permitted for sale, with restrictions
- The product is packaged correctly and the packaging is unbroken.
- Delivery must occur before the product's best-before date, which must be clearly stated in the listing (does not apply to collectibles).
- The product's ingredient list must be clearly stated in Swedish or English (self-translated lists are not permitted).
- Carbonator bottles as long as the best-before date is clearly stated in the listing.
Permitted for sale
- A sealed box of chocolates
- An unopened package of coffee
- Unopened cake decorations such as marzipan or wafers
- Gift baskets with unopened packages of salami, olive oil, and cheeses
- A 1985 Pez dispenser with its corresponding Pez candies (considered a collectible)
